Kalimatov Says He’ll Use Russian Guards to Enforce Self-Isolation in Ingushetia

Staunton, April 20 – In a move that contains within it the risk of sparking ethnic conflicts. Makhmud-Ali Kalimatov says that as of today he will use all forces at his disposal including the Russian Guard to enforce self-isolation rules (doshdu.com/glava-ingushetii-upomjanul-rosgvardiju-kak-meru-borby-s-narushiteljami-samoizoljacii/).

In other comments, the Ingushetia head said that the death toll in the republic has now risen to seven; but he pointed out that “all those who had died were elderly,” a comment that may not go down well in a republic where respect for the old remains extremely high (kavkaz-uzel.eu/articles/348537/).

Meanwhile, the pandemic claimed another “victim” of a kind. Because of the coronavirus, Aisha Azhigova, the young girl whose hands had to be amputated after she was mistreated by relatives, has had to put off plans to be fitted with a prosthetic device, her relatives have announced (kavkazr.com/a/30565885.html).
