Like Al Capone, Putin Going Down Not for His Worst Crimes but for Those He Can be More Easily Convicted Of, Piontkovsky Says

Staunton, November 27 – Vladimir Putin and his entourage are like the US gangster Al Capone not only in their contempt for all law in their pursuit of personal enrichment but also because they are going to be taken down as the US criminal was not for their worst crimes but for those they could be prosecuted for, Andrey Piontkovsky says.

Capone was guilty of murder, extortion, gunrunning, violations of the prohibition, and a whole raft of other crimes, but he was finally convicted and sentenced to jail for tax evasion, the Russian analyst points out. Something analogous is about to happen to Putin and his fellow criminals in the Russian elite (svoboda.org/a/28876197.html).

Putin and the 70 people closest to him have converted “power into property” and put their money in the West to keep it safe, but now history has played a cruel joke on them. The West has finally after many inexcusable delays focused on this as the way to stop the Putin camarilla which is guilty of so many other crimes in Russia and against Russia’s neighbors and the world.
