Russia has Achieved Complete Sovereignty by Becoming Totally Dependent on China, Russians Say

Paul Goble

Staunton, Feb. 1 – Russia’s new sovereignty, people in that country say, consists of having only Chinese cars, buying electronics only from China, selling Russian natural resources cheaply and only to China, and keeping its foreign reserves only in the Chinese yuan because that means Russia has ended its dependence on the globalists and colonialists of the West.

That is one of the Russian anecdotes in the latest collection of these voices of the Russian people offered by Moscow journalist Tatyana Pushkaryova (publizist.ru/blogs/107374/45044/-). Among the best of the rest are the following:

·       Russians are terrified by reports about massive corruption in Ukraine because Putin has declared that Ukrainians and Russians are one people and so what happens with Ukrainians will happen in Russia as well.

·       Asked for his personal anti-crisis plan, a Russian offers his friend marijuana.

·       When a journalist asks a Kremlin expert about reports he is dying, the man replies that yes, that is true. Everything is going according to plan.

·       Russian patriots dream of only two things: defeating America and getting a green card and expelling all non-Russians from Russia and then moving to somewhere where it is warmer and wealthier.

·       The Russian Foreign Ministry strongly condemns the drone attack on a military facility in Iran as that could have unpredictable consequences and provoke an uncontrolled escalation. But it says that Russian attacks on military installations of Ukraine can only have predictable consequences and provoke the most controlled and beneficial escalation!

·       Iran is preparing to respond to Israel with carpet bombing. Russia promises to supply flying carpets for them.

·       Russians are now quoting Napoleon’s aphorism that it isn’t necessary to look for malicious intent when everything can be explained by stupidity.
