Russian Military Sending Those Disabled in Battle in Ukraine Back into Front Lines, Relatives Say

Paul Goble

Staunton, Dec. 7 – Faced with mounting losses, the Russian military command is sending men wounded in combat back into the front lines without adequate medical review or protection, according to family members surveyed by the Important Stories portal, concealing what it is doing by concentrating such men in units and thus making their deaths more likely.

Over the past year, as combat has continued, the Russian defense ministry has reduced the number of medical problems that can lead to deferment or even excusing from service. But now the portal says, this practice has been extended without announcement into the military itself (

Men who have lost fingers on one hand have been told to use their other hand to fire their weapons, one woman said. And such advice only further convinces both the soldiers and their wives, mothers and children that the Russian army will continue to do anything it can to keep the men on the front lines regardless of their medical condition.
