More frightening than Schwarzenegger – Huge Posters in Russian Cities Show Stalin as ‘the Terminator’ Declaring ‘I’ll be Back!’

            Staunton, December 21 – To mark Stalin’s birthday, activists in Moscow and other Russian cities put up huge posters of Stalin showing him in the role of the terminator with dark glasses and a submachine gun and declaring in English “I’ll be back!” (focus.ua/world/446982-v_rossii_na_fasadakh_domov_veshaiut_portrety_stalina_so_slovami_ia_vernus and znak.com/2019-12-22/v_nizhegorodskoy_oblasti_povesili_banner_so_stalinym_v_obraze_terminatora).

            Cleverly combining Putin’s meme “we can do it again” with their support for Stalin, the activists behind the signs aced without permission.  Officials said the signs were illegal, but Genady Zyuganov, head of the KPRF, said they reflected the common views of the Russian people and should therefore only be welcomed.

            It is certain that not everyone feels the same way.
